Cliff Allum MBE FRGS
Cliff is a former British Army Officer having served with The Royal Tank Regiment (RTR) and other military units (both British and foreign) in training and operational roles world-wide. Cliff is the owner and Managing Director of Pimento Connection Ltd. He founded the company in a bar in Knightsbridge whilst undergoing resettlement courses on leaving the Forces. He named the company in honour of a close friend and hero Tony Brooks who had served with the Special Operations Executive (SOE) in WW2. Pimento was the code name given to the resistance circuit raised and commanded by Tony in France. Pimento is a specialist and highly successful recruitment company, specialising in the placement of niche talent, largely, but not exclusively former servicemen and women. Pimento specialises in supporting the Defence, Security, and Communications industries. In addition, Pimento also has a large and international network of talent and offers that network for in country support and consultation on defence requirements. Pimento has offices in Hampshire and in London. Cliff is particularly interested in speaking to companies, foreign and domestic, in need of technical personnel as employees or consultants.
Cliff was awarded the MBE by HM the Queen for services to Operation Telic (Iraq) and is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS)
Cliff is a married man with 2 grown children and lives in Surrey. He describes his hobbies and interests as travel, walking in wild places, Scuba Diving and paying off his children’s university loans.
