3CDSE

From its origin as a networking forum, SDSC-UK has evolved to become the UK’s most diverse and forward-thinking Technology defence & security expo. As such, SDSC-UK has gained a reputation as an active touchpoint for leading-edge technology and innovative strategic thinking.

As well as introducing SME’s to procurement decision-makers and influencers in UK MOD, US DOD, Law Enforcement agencies and Emergency Services, the show is a successful forum for fostering mutually beneficial commercial discussions between SME’s and Primes. SDSC-UK is proud of our ever-expanding network of connections and relationships.

The theme of SDSC-UK is Integration – how air, sea, land and space capabilities are evolving to become fit for purpose today and prepared for the new challenges and capability requirements of tomorrow.

Integration of capabilities includes cyber security, hardware and vehicles, UAV and counter-UAV, manned and unmanned vehicles and other technologies, including Artificial Intelligence and communications.

Our Origins

With our foundations in the Three Counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, these Counties are said to comprise the hub of the UK’s tech-based defence and security industry – the “golden triangle” – with MOD based in Herefordshire, Qinetiq and the Malvern Cyber Cluster in Worcestershire and GCHQ in Gloucestershire, plus all the satellite industries which have grown up around them.

Several sources record that 90% of the UK’s defence and security community involved in technology and innovation has its home in this triangle.

Since its inception as a regional event in 2017, SDSC-UK has developed a national and international reach, now attracting visitors from across the globe.

SDSC-UK always has its targets set on the new threat landscape – how air, sea and land capabilities are evolving to become fit for purpose today and prepared for the new challenges and capability requirements of tomorrow.

The term ‘hybrid warfare’ has increasingly become the focus, with cyber security, data management, blockchain and space operations entering the conversation. SDSC-UK's exhibitors and presenters showcase bold new capabilities to meet these elusive new threat environments, both real and potential.

These include Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) and Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) systems as well as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and Counter-UAV threats. SDSC-UK Expo has an excellent external area where physical systems, hardware and vehicles can be demonstrated on a live scale.
